PROVERBI SICILIANI 3 ntrizzi e fai cannola

Proverbio tra i più famosi e usati, questo, al punto che compare anche in una canzone di Franco Battiato ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGfNw4zC8k0 ). Nasce per indicare un fatto puramente amoroso e si traduce più o meno con "inutile che ti fai le trecce e i boccoli, il santo resta di marmo e non si eccita" (come a dire: ragazza, inutile che ti fai bella se lui non ti vuole! 😅).Ma in senso allargato viene utilizzato per dire che è INUTILE SPRECARE FORZE E IMPEGNO IN QUALCOSA CHE NON DARA' MAI RISULTATO.

Interessante l'uso della parola AMMATULA (dal greco "matén", invano, inutile) che torna spesso nei detti siciliani. Ad esempio "Si lu sceccu non voli viviri, ammàtula ci frischi" (se l'asino non vuol bere, inutile fischiargli) con significato simile a quello del proverbio di oggi.
